Languages & International Perspective

Language has been part of my professional life since the beginning. I studied English at a specialised English-language high school in Bulgaria, and from my first role in tourism and travel, working across languages was simply part of the job – communicating with international clients, negotiating with global partners, and navigating different markets.

Bulgarian is my mother tongue. Czech I studied for a few years before moving to Prague, and reached full fluency during my time there.

Since 2017 I have completed multiple formal German language courses in Berlin, including Deutsch für den Beruf at BW Bildungswelt (Sept. 2020 – Mar. 2021), where I completed the programme with a telc Deutsch B2 certificate (Council of Europe level B2)¹. I then continued to C1 level with a course at ifa-Akademie (Mar. – May 2021),completing it with a C1 certificate². German is now a fully working language – I do SEO audits, present SEO strategies, and run stakeholder meetings in German daily.

English and German are both operational working languages across everything I do professionally.

Multilingual SEO in practice

At my current position as a Senior SEO Manager, I manage SEO across German, French, and English-speaking markets simultaneously. For the French market I work closely with native speakers on content and keyword strategy, while handling the technical and structural SEO side independently. Each market has its own search behaviour, content tone, and competitive landscape — running all three in parallel has given me a practical understanding of international SEO that goes beyond hreflang configuration and into how different audiences actually search.
