Senior SEO Manager
index Internet und Mediaforschung GmbH, Berlin, Germany Feb. 2022 – Present
I joined index as an SEO Trainee in February 2022 and progressed to Senior SEO Manager by October 2023, taking full end-to-end ownership of SEO strategy across a portfolio of brands spanning different product categories and markets — SaaS tools, job boards, market research products, and branding sites across German, French, and English markets. My responsibilities cover the full SEO stack: developing and implementing SEO, GEO, GAIO, and AIO strategies with a focus on UX and conversion optimisation; technical SEO audits and monthly crawl monitoring with Screaming Frog; Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed analysis; schema markup implementation across multiple page types; on-page optimisation and content strategy; keyword research; and website relaunches from initial strategy through to final implementation. I set up and manage tracking in GTM and GA4, build SEO dashboards in Looker Studio using data from GA4, GSC, and SE Ranking, and automate recurring SEO processes — keyword research, bulk SERP scraping, technical monitoring, and reporting — using n8n. One of the more technically involved projects was leading the migration of all company websites from Google Universal Analytics to GA4. On the GEO and AIO side, I track brand citation rates and LLM share of voice across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, and have built a custom GTM-based AIO snippet tracking setup that captures the exact text served in AI Overviews as a GA4 event. I also build Claude-based content environments with tailored knowledge bases for specific websites. The most concrete result across this period is a 400% increase in the Visibility Index of one of the brands I manage (source: SISTRIX) — the outcome of several parallel technical and content workstreams running simultaneously, not a single intervention.

Co-founder
MINDESI — High Quality Vegan Shoes, South of France / Remote Oct. 2017 – Dec. 2019
MINDESI is a vegan fashion brand I co-founded with Cédric Garrofé in 2018, committed to cruelty-free products combining elegance and simplicity, and a member of VEGEVER. I started conceptualising the project in October 2017 and took on the co-founder role from the company launch in May 2018 until December 2019. The work covered every dimension of getting a brand off the ground. On the supply chain side, finding manufacturers that met our quality standards was difficult — I sourced and secured cost-effective manufacturing partnerships with factories in Portugal. I then coordinated the development of the first product line, working closely with designers on design quality. For capital-raising, we chose crowdfunding: I researched, built, and launched the Kickstarter campaign and corporate website, organised models and a photographer for the marketing materials, and ran Google and Facebook advertising to support the campaign. Brand identity and strategy were also my responsibility from the ground up.
“Without hesitation, I would accept the prospect of working with Vilma on future projects.”
— Cédric Garrofé, Co-founder, MINDESI / Head of Events, Université de Lausanne / Ex Head of Digital Contents, Le Temps
Service & Customer Service
Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin, Germany Jun. 2017 – Aug. 2020
Following my time at the Radisson Blu Alcron in Prague, I transferred within the group to the Berlin property — a five-star First Class hotel in the city centre. In my role I managed customer service, quality control, and onboarding new staff, trainees, and temporary workers. Alongside the role, I attended German language courses, which laid the foundation for the C1 level I later formally certified.
“Frau Atanasova agierte immer ruhig, überlegt, zielorientiert und in hohem Maße präzise. Die Leistungen von Frau Atanasova haben jederzeit und in jeder Hinsicht unsere volle Anerkennung gefunden.”
— Oliver Staas, General Manager, Radisson Blu Berlin
